Terms of service

Draft placeholder.

This page is a draft placeholder and will be replaced by legal documentation before launch.

Not a legal document

The list below records what the final client agreement is expected to cover. It is not a contract, and it must be drafted properly before any client work begins.

Intended contents

  • Scope of work for each package, and what falls outside it.
  • Consent and access: what we may access, when, and how permission is recorded and withdrawn.
  • Hardware supply, ownership, warranties and who is responsible for failure.
  • Fees, payment terms, travel charges and the audit-fee credit.
  • Membership terms: response expectations, renewal, notice and cancellation.
  • Confidentiality obligations on both sides.
  • Limitations of liability, and an explicit statement that no security outcome is guaranteed.
  • What happens on termination, including handover of the household technology record.
  • Complaints procedure and governing law.

Outstanding items

  • [Professional indemnity and cyber-insurance details to be confirmed]
  • [Liability caps to be set with legal advice]
  • [Subcontractor and partner terms to be prepared]
  • [Consent and access schedule to be drafted]

Our stated boundaries in the meantime are set out under How It Works.
